So you want a video blog eh? Or a video in ye blog?
Eww that sounds almost painful, or at least only partially legal...in some states.
Currently the media gallery only supports uploaded media not embedded media. So to embed media from a source such as YouTube follow these directions:
1) Send $100 to Paul @ Vtribes.com and forget you ever read this post. If that isn't going to work for you, follow these directions instead:
1)(really this time) Go to YouTube and get the embed code for the video you want. This typically looks like:
<object width="425" height="349">
<param name="movie"
value="http://www.youtube.com/v/r5jeOMkzXKA&hl=en&fs=1&color1=0xe1600f&color2=0xfebd01&border=1">
</param>
<param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param>
<embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/r5jeOMkzXKA&hl=en&fs=1&color1=0xe1600f&color2=0xfebd01&border=1"
type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="349">
</embed>
</object>
|
I had to format the above to have it fit in to here nicer.
So now you can just hit PASTE (Ctrl + v) right in your blog post and thee code will appear. Then when you save your blog post, the video is here. Just like this:
That poor child!
Anyway enough with the ADHD chipmunk...hopefully you will find adding YouTube videos to your blog very easy. Like shooting fish in a spin drier, or whatever that saying is.
And now a word from our sponsor:
